Spoonful Recipe Swap – Brown Sugar Pecan Cookies

Brown Sugar and Pecan Cookies

Happy Monday all! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I sure feel like my weekends go by waaaaaaaaay too fast! I can’t complain though because  I am lucky to work a 4-day workweek.  I spent all day Friday in the kitchen which felt so good! I know I’ve been a slacker when it comes to cooking and blogging but things are finally settling down around here as we’re just finishing up the final touches of our remodel.

I’ve talked about the awesome Facebook group I am apart of, Spoonful of Foodies, several times and if you haven’t joined yet you should! You get so many great recipes. Plus, if you’re a food blogger, you can post your recipes.  It’s a lot fun and a great way for some more exposure.  Us admin’s of the group decided to do a recipe swap.  We all picked a recipe from our blog that we wanted someone else to re-create.  Either following the recipe exactly or putting our own spin on it!  I quickly chose Katie’s brown sugar and pecan cookies – they instantly reminded me of my grandma. Plus, I love me a good cookie! I followed Katie’s recipe exactly (with exception of not using whole wheat flour because I did not have it on hand). These cookies were delicious! And always a plus for me, I had all of the ingredients in my pantry.  Be sure to head over to Katie’s blog, Pearls + Girls and browse around all of her amazing recipes!
