White Chocolate Oreo Popcorn

I’m Samantha, the author of Playdates + Pearls, and I am taking My Simple Kitchen hostage for the week while Rene is vacationing in paradise. You’ve seen me here before, remember? We drank a little wine, made a little pizza….it was good times! Today I wanted to bring you guys a super simple holiday recipe that will make the perfect gift for your friends, co-workers, kids, or even yourself. All you need are 3 ingredients, and 10 minutes.

Your favorite microwave popcorn (I used healthy pop)

10-12 Oreos (Pick your poison. I used Double Stuff.)

25 White Chocolate Peppermint Hershey Kisses

editingredientsStart by cooking your popcorn. While it’s cooking, put your Oreos into a ziplock and start crushing them into smaller bits. When your popcorn is finished empty the bag into a large bowl and pour your oreo crumbles on top of it. The cookie “stuffing” (what is that even called? Icing?) will begin to melt on the hot popcorn. Unwrap all your hershey kisses and place into a microwave safe bowl. Begin microwaving your chocolate kisses in 30 second intervals, stirring between each. Once it’s melted, pour your chocolate over your popcorn and cookie mixture. Stir, and allow to cool for a few moments. Enjoy!

I bought clear treat bags at Michaels, and polka dot washi tape, and made goodies for my friends. Just attach a card, and a candy cane. Cheap, quick, and delicious!

If you want to see how I used the remaining Oreos, come visit me at Playdates + Pearls.

milkshakes2I’ll be back tomorrow with my crockpot applesauce. 🙂
