We had dinner at The Lompoc Tavern on Friday night. It was our first time there and definitely won’t be our last. The drinks were good, the service was great, and the food was awesome! One of the appetizers we ordered was chipotle chicken wings. I knew once the waiter set them on the table I would love them. I could smell the spiciness! I couldn’t get them out of my head and had to make some. Here’s what I came up with!
What you’ll need:
1 lb chicken wings
1 7 oz. can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
Juice of 1 lime
4 tbsp. butter, softened
What you’ll do:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Combine peppers, lime juice and butter in food processor. Pulse until smooth. NOTE: For a milder flavor, only use 3-4 peppers. For a spicier sauce, use entire can.
In a large bowl, toss wings and sauce together until wings are coated.
Place wings on wire tray. Place wire tray onto of foil line dish.
Bake for 45 minutes.
