We have a local pizza place that is arguably the best pizza you’ll ever have. If you ask me, it’s just ok. Ask my husband? He’ll think you’re crazy if you don’t like it. But, they do have the BEST taco pizza I’ve ever had. My sister got me these awesome baking stones for Christmas and I couldn’t wait to try them out! So, here’s my version of taco pizza.
What you’ll need:
1 pizza crust; I used a pre made crust, but want to get fancy? You can also make your own.
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 packet taco seasoning
2-3 cups shredded cheese
1/2 cup black olives, sliced
1/2 cup fresh tomatoes, diced
1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
What you’ll do:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Roll out pizza dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 5 minutes, until top is slightly golden. Remove from oven, set aside.
Meanwhile, in medium skillet, cook ground beef with diced onion.
Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water and cook another 5 minutes.
Top pizza crust with ground beef, cheese, olives, and tomatoes.
Bake for 7-10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
Top with shredded lettuce and enjoy!
